The mission of the Trooper Vernon Brake Foundation is to honor the life and legacy of Trooper Vernon Brake by advancing the values he lived every day: service, integrity, hard work, and a willingness to step forward for others. We support aspiring law enforcement officers through training, mentorship, character-building programs, and scholarship opportunities that help students pursue education and academy readiness. Inspired by his volunteer work with OCS athletics and his commitment to bringing clean water to underserved communities abroad, we strive to strengthen public safety, uplift communities, and empower individuals to serve with courage, compassion, and purpose.
In addition, we stand beside the families of first responders who have made the ultimate sacrifice, offering support, stability, and community during their most difficult moments. We are equally committed to first responder wellness, providing resources, programs, and initiatives that promote mental, emotional, and physical health so those who serve can continue to do so with strength and resilience.
A future where every aspiring law enforcement officer is equipped to serve with character, courage, and compassion, where first responders have the support, wellness, and resilience they need to protect our communities, and where families of fallen heroes are honored, uplifted, and never left to face hardship alone.
